We’ve added the bonus material Secret Prequel to the ebook Secret and have been asked a lot about how to update the Kindle to reflect the new content. I found the directions below and them seem to work. Secret is on sale for $.99 and part of Kindle Unlimited for about sixty more days. Let me know what you think of the new addition. 
To receive updates to your eBooks automatically:
Turn on the Annotations Backup* for your Kindle device or Kindle reading app. This will sync your notes, highlights, eBookmarks, and furthest page read
Go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page
Select “Automatic Book Update” under the Settings tab
Select “On” from the dropdown menu
Note: The Automatic Book Update feature might not be available for markets outside of the U.S.
*The devices listed below automatically enable the Annotations Backup. As a result, you won’t be able turn off the Backup.

You can also go to Manage Content and Devices on Amazon and in your list of books there should be a “update available” button next to any book with new content. I do it this way because it forces a manual update to all devices
